Keep it with Tim
The worry you wrote stays private.

Some of the things you tell TwoHearths are personal. Tim wants you to know what happens to the things you choose to record.
May every child have somewhere safe to put the things that feel a little too heavy.Grown up Privacy Policy

1
TwoHearths is a place where you can record how your day felt, remember things that happened and write a worry on a Worry Stone when something feels a little too heavy.
We need to be careful with that information because it belongs to you too.
2
You might choose to record:
3
Grown ups connected to your TwoHearths family may be able to see ordinary wellbeing records such as Check Ins, things you chose about your day, notes, later reflections and Journey with Tim records.
TwoHearths keeps the original things you recorded instead of quietly replacing them later. A grown up cannot use the normal app to simply change an answer because they do not like it.
A special privacy rule
You write your worry on a Worry Stone. A new Worry Stone starts private, and you choose what happens next.
The worry you wrote stays private.
You choose which grown up or grown ups can read what you wrote.
You can ask a chosen grown up to check on you without automatically sharing your Worry Stone.
Sharing with one grown up does not automatically mean every grown up can read what you wrote.
4
Tim does not decide:
TwoHearths records what you chose to say. It does not turn your feelings into a judgement about you or your family.
5
Journey with Tim can help you record how heavy your shell felt around moving between Hearths.
Using a Journey button does not prove exactly where you were or when you travelled somewhere.
6
Sometimes a grown up can make a report showing things you recorded, such as Check Ins, notes, reflections and Journey with Tim records.
Your private Worry Stones are not put into the normal wellbeing report. Things you deliberately shared with a particular grown up are also kept separately.
A report can show what you recorded. It cannot prove exactly what happened, why you felt something, who caused a feeling or that one home is better than another.
You might see a very long jumble of letters and numbers called a SHA 256 fingerprint. You do not need to understand it.
It helps grown ups check whether the information used for a report still matches the information that was fingerprinted.
7
TwoHearths does not show adverts to children in Child Mode, and your wellbeing records are not used to build an advertising profile about you.
We try not to put sensitive information, such as the worry written on a private Worry Stone, onto a phone’s lock screen.
If a grown up uses Face ID or fingerprint unlock, their phone or tablet checks it. TwoHearths does not get a copy of their face or fingerprint.
8
Children have privacy rights. Your information does not stop mattering just because a grown up created the TwoHearths family.
You can ask about what information TwoHearths has about you, something that is wrong, whether information can be deleted, or how your information is being used.
Families can ask Hearth & Hero Studios about deleting information. Some family information can involve more than one person, so a deletion request sometimes needs to be looked at carefully.
Sometimes a grown up may need to help so we can make sure we are talking to the right people and keeping your information safe.
A promise from Tim
Tim is here to help give you somewhere to put the things you choose to record.
He is not here to judge you, diagnose you, spy on you, decide which grown up is right or decide which home is better.
May every child have somewhere safe to put the things that feel a little too heavy.
That’s okay. Privacy rules can sound complicated. You can ask a grown up you trust to read this page with you.
